Cookie Notice
SOWMOS uses a small number of cookies and similar browser storage (such as "local storage") to make the website work, keep your account secure and, only if you agree, to understand how the site is used.
We always ask before using anything that isn't strictly necessary.
Essential (always on)
These are needed for SOWMOS to work, so they can't be switched off:
- Signing in — keeps you signed in securely on this device.
- Your cookie choice — remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies, so we don't ask on every page.
- Your basket and checkout — keeps classes in your basket and tracks a payment you've started, so places aren't lost or paid for twice.
- Settings you choose — for example a dismissed notice, the "View SOWMOS as" view, or your approximate location for showing distances (only after you tap "Near me", and only for that browser session).
- Payments by Stripe — when you pay, Stripe's secure payment form sets its own cookies to process the payment and prevent fraud. These are set only on the payment pages.
- Google sign-in — if you choose "Continue with Google", Google and our sign-in service use cookies to complete that sign-in.
- Offline support — if you install SOWMOS as an app, your browser stores some site files so it opens quickly.
Analytics (optional, off by default)
If you allow analytics, we store a random visitor ID on your device and a session ID for that visit, and record which SOWMOS pages are viewed and which website you came from. We use this, in our own system only, to count visits and improve the site. We don't use third-party analytics or advertising tools for this.
Nothing is recorded and no visitor ID is created until you switch analytics on. If you switch it off again, the IDs are removed from your device.
Marketing (optional)
SOWMOS does not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. If this changes, we'll ask for your consent first.
Managing your choices
Use the Cookie Settings button at the top of this page, or the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page, to review your choice, save it, or reject optional cookies at any time. You don't need to be signed in.
You can also delete cookies and site data through your browser settings. If you do, you'll be signed out and asked about cookies again.
